I ran into this gem doing some web research about game QA: Dude, I was making $8/hour when I was game testing. Of course, with 40 hours of regular time and 40 hours of 1.5 time, I guess it averaged more realistically to $10/hour. Hardest work of my life (and I was a chimney sweep), but totally worth it for a summer. Emphasis mine. I love it.

conduit: in an ideal world all company directors would invest in their workforce to the point where the office didn’t resemble a huge ice cube filled with back-breaking plastic chairs, mdf tables and… I think I was the one who posted this.
